Fully Comprehensive Insurance included for the Hirer/Insured Driver ONLY. all drivers are subject to approval by the Insurance Company. Other drivers are not allowed to drive the car without suitable extra insurance cover. Additional driver insurance available on request. Vehicles must remain within British mainland or the insurance is void (unless accepted in writing by the Lessor).
The Hirer may use the vehicle for the purpose of their business and for social domestic and pleasure purposes. The vehicle may not be used for any purposes for which they are not expressly designed. Further, the Hirer will not use or permit the vehicle to be used for hire, driving tuition, towing , racing or pace making, or for competing in any rally, or any other form of motor sport, track days or for any illegal purpose whatsoever. 2. DRIVER INFORMATION: IDENTIFICATION.
All drivers must be 21 -75 years old.
The Driver must have held a UK licence for at least 24 months.
A utility bill in the (last 3 months); and current driving licence required for verification of identity prior to vehicle hire.
The following limitations apply on our hire policy:
- The hirer must not have had more than one fault or partial fault accident in the last 3 years;
- The Hirer must not have been disqualified from driving in the last 3 years including Totting Up (TT99)
- The hirer must not have any convictions or prosecutions pending under any Road Traffic Act or similar legislation.
- The driver must have no more than 8 unexpired points on their driving licence or 6 in circumstances relating to speeding offences.
- The hirer must not have been convicted during the last 3 years of an offence for Reckless/Dangerous (All DD), Drink/Drugs (all DR / All DG), Taking/Stealing (All UT), Failing to Stop/Report (All AC), Motor Racing (MS50), Careless Driving (All CD), Mutual Recognition (All MR), or No Insurance (All IN).

4. PAYMENT – DEPOSIT – EXCESS
The Balance of the hire costs must be paid for in full before use of the car.
A security deposit is required per vehicle hire. Payment must be made by Credit/Debit Card.
We reserve the right to increase the security deposit prior to hire of vehicle, subject to notification.
A damage liability of £1000 must be paid for any accidental damage incurred during the hire period.
The Hirer will be responsible for any loss of earnings from the vehicle whilst it is in storage or repair due to accidental damage.
The security deposit is used as:
1. A Security Bond.
2. Payments towards any mechanical damage which is not covered by the insurance. Eg. Tyres, wheels, clutch, gearbox, etc which was sustained during the hire period due to misuse and abuse, excluding normal wear & tear.
3. Insurance Excess against any accidental damage, loss or theft caused to the vehicle by the Hirer or a third party.
4. Any additional charges incurred during the hire period. Eg. excess mileage, petrol reimbursement costs, parking charges, speeding fines etc.
5. CANCELLATION CHARGES
Any cancellations will result in you forfeiting your booking date and losing the cost paid for the booking. However a credit will be issued to you to book for another date, subject to availability once notified prior to the hire date. We do not issue partial refunds or credits for any bookings which have taken place.
Please note due to the pandemic we are still operating in accordance with our cancellation policy. We understand this is a difficult time both for businesses and customers so we advise to double check our terms and conditions before placing a booking.
In the event you need to cancel a booking due to rearranged dates or cancelled events we are only able to offer a full credit note which can be redeemed within a 6 month period and we must be notified 48 hours before your hire takes place. In the case of further lockdowns credit notes will be extended for an additional 3 months and subject to further reviews.
Bookings that have been made less than 48 hours before taking place will not qualify for refunds under any circumstances. If a reservation has been made for more than 24 hours then a minimum 1 days hire is deducted at standard rate. These terms do not apply to minibus bookings.
6. LOSS or DAMAGE to VEHICLE.
Liability for each & every accident involving any damage to, or loss of the vehicle, and/or third party vehicle during the rental period depends on the insurance excess for that vehicle (conditions apply).
It is the responsibility of the Hirer to carry out any puncture repairs, tyre replacement, glass damage or replacement, overhead damage or any traffic violations, parking charges etc. Tyre pressures, Oil and water levels, Fuel Type and the inclusion of Ad Blue as necessary. If conducting a long term hire which is more than 21 days the driver will be responsible for the wear and tear of tyres, glass and ad blue.
7. TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS
The hirer reserves the right to levy an administration charge of £50 + VAT for the processing of any traffic violations incurred during a hire period.
8. AVAILABILITY OF VEHICLES
Every effort will be made to provide the vehicle required however the company reserves the right to offer the nearest vehicle model as an alternative.
All vehicles are subject to availability and may be subject to change without prior notice. Images shown are intended as a guide only. Actual vehicle colour and/or specifications may vary subject to availability. Whilst every endeavour will be made to supply the make and type of vehicle , the Lessor cannot bind itself to do so, as circumstances beyond its control may prevent this.
Driving may be postponed in extreme weather conditions (eg. strong winds, snow or flooding) which could make driving the cars potentially dangerous.
Liability is limited to a refund of the hire charge. No consequential loss liability will be covered. In a breakdown the hire company will not refund for excess fuel or any other charges incurred.The company reserves the right to vary the rates & conditions and to refuse and terminate any rental without giving prior reason or notice during a hire period.
It is the hirers responsibility to check all vehicles are fit for purpose when being hired out. This would include checking tyres, glass, water & oil levels. Whilst the company makes every effort to maintain this the hirer must also check for any mechanical, electrical or physical defects to the vehicle. All issues should be reported in a 1 hour time frame from hiring the vehicle. Failure to do so could result in the hirer being liable for any defects caused.

In the event of an unfortunate breakdown, we have a 24hr call out service which is administered through the RAC on 0333 2000 999. The assistance is in place to provide rescue and recovery services. Please note on this policy only minibuses are eligable for onwards travel. Breakdown services can offer recovery, onwards travel and accommodation if eligable.
Our aim is to keep you mobile in the event of a breakdown, if roadside rescue is not able to resolve your issue, then the hire company will make every effort to provide a like for like vehicle which will need to be collected from the Hire Me depot. A direct one-way recovery can be arranged via the breakdown service back to site.
If the breakdown team cannot provide a replacement vehicle, then a full refund or credit is processed based on a one-day hire. If the vehicle hire is for more than one day, then the remainder of the hire is refunded based on the discount applied to the booking. Please note the hire company is not able to accept liability for any loss incurred as a result of a mechanical breakdown.
If it is found that the breakdown issues relate to driver negligence, then no refunds will be issued under any circumstances and the hirer may also be subjected to further charges to cover the cost of damage. The hirer is also responsible for breakdown charges which are not included in the standard level of breakdown cover. These charges are in addition to the excess on the policy and will be charged directly to the customer.
Out of policy charges will include:
- Non break down fault
- Mis fuel or run out of fuel
- Lost keys
- Tyre or glass damage
- Accident / Collision
11. Payment Charges
By signing this agreement I authorise Hire Me Vehicle Rentals to charge my nominated payment method for any hire, damage, theft and late charges to confirm my booking. I also consent for my nominated payment method to be charged in the event of any admin fees that remain outstanding for speeding, parking, tolls and any other contraventions which relate to the hire.
In the event the payment details supplied are different to the hirer on the agreement they have gained full permission from the cardholder to use the payment details for the booking.
